Links Overview Details & Sign-up Contact Founding Partners: FIRST FLL The NHCSW		Details & Sign-Up Who: Teams of five girls ages 8-14 are invited to attend. Students may be from schools, home schooled organizations, 4-H, Girl Scouts, and/or Girls Incorporated. When: Saturday, February 25, 2006 Where: Parson’s Hall on the UNH Campus By participating in the event, students will learn how to build and program a basic robot-with the assistance of college mentors-using LEGO Mindstorms kits. The theme for 2006 is Ocean Odyssey and while the girls learn how to build robots, they will also learn how robots are used in the marine sciences. As with FIRST’s other programs, the workshops will end with a friendly competition between the teams of girls. It is our hope that these teams will continue their involvement by joining FIRST Lego League teams in the fall. A limited number of Rookie FIRST LEGO League team scholarships will also be available to reward and encourage particularly promising teams.
